What ceramic veneers are

A veneer is a thin ceramic plate that is fixed onto the tooth and becomes one with it.

Modern ceramic fully reproduces the natural shine and translucency of enamel, so it's hard even for a specialist to tell a veneer from a “natural” tooth.

Stages of the procedure:

Diagnosis and planning:

we take photos, scans, or impressions and discuss your wishes to picture the future result in advance.

We create a diagnostic model and choose the shape and shade together so that everything looks natural and harmonious.

Gentle preparation:

we remove a very thin layer of enamel (about 0.2 mm) — enough for the veneer to sit correctly and for the tooth to stay healthy.

Fabrication and placement:

individual veneers are made in the laboratory (about 1–2 weeks), then we fix them and check comfort and aesthetics.

Result before and after

Patient history

The patient came in to improve aesthetics after long-term composite restorations, with complaints of bleeding gums and a wish for a snow-white smile.

Treatment

Diagnostics and axiography were performed, and a slight repositioning of the lower jaw was carried out. Modelling, fitting, and approval of the shape and size of the teeth were done according to the patient's request and the technical capabilities of virtual modelling. The composite restorations were replaced with bright Bleach 2 ceramic ones.

Treatment

Перед началом лечения было выполнено цифровое планирование и создан дизайн будущей улыбки. После согласования формы, размера и пропорций зубов с пациенткой проведена минимальная подготовка зубов под полевошпатные керамические виниры. Через две недели после изготовления реставраций виниры были зафиксированы. В результате удалось полностью закрыть диастему, сохранить естественный внешний вид зубов и создать гармоничную улыбку, которая соответствует индивидуальным особенностям лица пациентки.

После согласования плана лечения выполнена минимальная подготовка зубов под полевошпатные керамические виниры. Через две недели после изготовления реставрации были зафиксированы. В результате пациент получил гармоничную улыбку, восстановленную функцию зубов и комфортное смыкание, полностью соответствующее индивидуальным особенностям зубочелюстной системы.
